On the threshold of New Year holidays “Deloit” company held a survey of customers in the world and in Ukraine.

A “Deloit” official told a press conference that it is the first in Ukraine global research of consumer activities on the threshold of Christmas and New Year holidays.

According to the data, Ukrainians plant to spend about 2.2 thousand UAH for presents. A part of this money will be spent for children (22%), then for relatives (21%) and 19% of Ukrainians plan to buy some presents for themselves.

Every Ukrainian plans to buy 8 presents and is ready to spend 1 thousand UAH; the rest money will be spent for food products or restaurants. The most preferable place for purchasing is supermarkets; markers hold the second place.

“According to the survey, in majority of countries people plan to buy books, cloth or to present money. Ukrainians prefer to present money, rather than get it as a present,” Deloit official said.

Speaking about preferable presents to get Ukrainians named cosmetics, perfume, jewelry, cloth and shoes.

Such surveys have been held in some European countries for ten years running. Ukrainian citizens (800 respondents) have been questioned for the first time.
