Two years are necessary to pull out the Russian Black Sea fleet from Crimea.

Aleksander Khramchikhin, analyst of the Institute for Political and Military Analysis (RF), disclosed this to UNIAN.

“I think it will take two years. Many ships will be merely written off as obsolete, and the time necessary for the pullout is reducing, because the fleet itself is reducing… Russia’s ship-building programs are catastrophically small, considering that they are intended for all four fleets and the Caspian fleet as well. That is why, I believe, nothing at all is added to the Black Sea Fleet”, A.Kharmchykhyn said.

At the same time, he noted that the building of the new BSF base in Novorosiysk has been very slow.

“If there are any building works, they have been carried out at a slow rate. There are many political questions, and I don’t rule out that the building of the base has been artificially hampered in order to keep presence in Sevastopol, because no final decision on the BSF was made”, the expert said.
