The voting in the Verkhovna Rada on the anti-crisis draft law is significant and indicates that the democratic coalition can be resumed.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told journalists in the parliament on Wednesday.

“I’m confident that the draft law will be worked out for the second reading, and will be put on tomorrow’s agenda first of all. And I’m confident that the same democratic coalition will vote for this draft law in the second reading and as a whole”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.

The Prime Minister thanked all MPs who supported the President’s draft law, which, in her opinion, was prepared on basis of the government’s anti-crisis draft law.

As reported earlier, on Wednesday, Ukraine`s parliament has given initial approval to a package of bills needed to receive an emergency loan from the International Monetary Fund. The government hopes the $16.5 billion loan will help avoid a meltdown as it struggles to defend the fallen national currency and a shaken banking sector.
