On
September 22 President Victor Yushchenko left on a working visit to the
USA to take part in the 63 meeting of the UN General Assembly.
According to the press office of the Head of State, the meeting is due to discuss the global food crisis, overcoming of its consequences, and democratization of UN institutions.
V.Yushchenko will deliver a speech during the general debate of the 63rd session of the UN General Assembly. He will set forth the position of Ukraine concerning global modern problems, and will sign a UN Convention on rights of disabled persons.
The President of Ukraine is about to meet with the UN Secretary General, heads of delegations from other countries, representatives of the local Ukrainian community, and members of Atlantic Council of USA.
