Government increased the financing of programs on preparation for the Euro-2012 Football Championship twofold

The Government in the draft State Budget for 2009 allocates 13.5 billion UAH for financing programs on preparation and organization of the Euro-2012 Football Championship. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated presenting to the public the draft State Budget for 2009. The Head of Government noted that in 2008 only 6.5 billion UAH had been allocated for these purposes.

The PM stated that the country is mightily gearing up for the championship: “we build and restore stadiums, we construct airports, construction of hotels is at full speed”. Yulia Tymoshenko expressed confidence that the UEFA partners would be satisfied with our work in this direction: “We’ll be brilliantly prepared for Euro-2012 because the projects we present – are objects of European level”.
