The United Nations Organization is ready to grant aid to Ukraine to liquidate consequences of the flood in the western regions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

On August 1, Victor Kryzhanovskyi, Ukraine Ambassador to UN, met the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator John Holmes. He gave Holmes a list of needs and sums necessary to liquidate the consequences.

The Ukrainian side stressed that it expects to receive help from the UN. Holmes confirmed that the UN was ready to help Ukraine.

The UN House in Ukraine will participate in it. It will coordinate grants given by the EU, NATO and other international organizations.

As a reminder, NATO is ready to help Ukraine to liquidate consequences of the flood in the western regions. Earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine asked the international organizations and other states for help.
