Within the scope of her visit to Poland Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko held a meeting with her Polish counterpart Donald Tusk in a narrow circle, governmental portal reported.

The meeting dealt with an issue of Ukrainian-Polish bipartite relations. Notably, the largest part of the meeting has been devoted to the question of the quickest introduction and realization of a two-side Agreement on the small border movement.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko addressed to her Polish colleague with a demand to take into account an experience of Slovakia and Hungary between which a respective agreement is in effect concerning a 50-kilometre frontier zone. She stressed that the topic of Ukraine-Poland transborder cooperation is planned to be considered at the sitting of the Council of European Union, slated for July 22.

In his turn the Head of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland Donald Tusk has promised to pay every effort in order to ensure putting into effect the Agreement on the small border movement as fast as possible.

Besides, during the event the Head of Ukrainian Government Yulia Tymoshenko has positively estimated a Polish-Swedish initiative on Eastern Partnership.

In the aftermath of the meeting prime ministers of Ukraine and Poland met in a tête-à-tête format.
