Croatia is ready to facilitate visa regime with Ukraine, according to a statement released by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. Cabinet’s press service reports.

On June 4, Ukraine's Ambassador to Croatia Markiyan Lubkivsky and Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Jandrokovic discussed the ways of facilitating visa regime between the countries.

The minister expressed Croatia's readiness to continue facilitating visa regime and said that experts are already considering possible options for visa facilitation.

One of the options envisages bringing an intergovernmental agreement on conditions for mutual trips by citizens in accordance with a visa facilitation agreement signed between Ukraine and the European Union.

Lubkivsky, in turn, said that the need to facilitate visa regime had been caused by a greater number of Ukrainian tourists visiting Croatia.

According to the forecasts of Ukrainian tourist companies, over 50,000 Ukrainian citizens are expected to visit Croatia this year.

In January, Lubkivsky and Croatian President Stjepan Mesic spoke about visa facilitation regime between the countries.
