On April 28 the Mi-8 helicopter crashed over the Black Sea while landing. There were 17 workers of CJSC “Chernomorneftegaz” and 3 members of crew, and they all died.
The decoding of “black box” of the Mi-8 helicopter confirmed that human factor was the reason of the catastrophe. First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Olexander Turchynov and Minister of Transport and Communications, Yosyp Vinsky stated.
On April 28 by the direction of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the Governmental commission on accident investigation was formed. The Minister of Transport and Communication, Yosyp Vinsky was appointed as the head of the commission.
President Viktor Yushchenko expressed his condolences to the families and relatives of those died in April 28 Mi-8 crash in the Black Sea. The 30th of April was announced as a day of mourning in Ukraine.
