Making comments on Government proposed procedure of holding land auctions, during his interview to journalists in Warsaw, President Viktor Yushchenko expressed opinion that it brings danger of corruption. President's press office reports.
“I am assured that this is a new corruptive scheme,” Viktor Yushchenko said. He also urged the Government to reexamine and redesign the procedure of holding land selling auctions so that it would, in addition, comply with the interests of local communities.
“The owner of Ukrainian land is the Government. The Government’s assignment is opposite to fiddling land,” President said, pointing also to the need of land sale through transparent auctions.
