President Viktor Yushchenko held a weekly meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk. President's press office reports.

Main discussed subject during the meeting was the need of revaluation of economic indices for 2008 by the Government as well as of introduction of modifications to the budget with regard to prices growth and inflation. Separate consideration the officials gave to balancing Naftogaz of Ukraine’s financial flows.

In his word President said that anti-inflation measures should be given proper attention with all necessary measures applied to stabilize the situation. He also expressed opinion that the Government should make strategic conclusions aimed at providing both stabilization of the situation and development policy.

Discussing the situation around NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine the officials noted that the financial plan of the company has not been prepared. Prime Minister also informed President on the course of gas trade negotiations with Russia and financial situation in Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Other participants of the meeting were NSDC Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, Minister of the Cabinet Petro Krupko, heads of BYuT and OU-PSD parliamentary factions Ivan Kyrylenko and Vyacheslav Kyrylenko, Presidential Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Baloha and his First Deputy, Representative of the President to the Cabinet Oleksandr Shlapak.
