VRU chairman Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed assurance that if Ukraine joins NATO, Russia “will not use economic influence, in particular, in questions of gas delivery.
“We have too close contacts, and we respect each other,” Yatsenyuk told journalists on Wednesday.
He called upon not to politicize the question on gas deliveries to Ukraine and to transfer this decision to “the economic, market area, but not the political one”.
Yatsenyuk considers that long-term contract of deliveries and guarantees of these deliveries must be performed.
“Then there will be no unnecessary questions, and there will be no speculations on gas market,” Yatsenyuk said.
