President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko states that Ukraine’s joining NATO will not cause any risks for the states, which Ukraine has relations with, as well as for our neighbors. Yushchenko stated on Tuesday at the sitting of the National council on cooperation of state power organs with the local governments.

“I would like to say as the President that after Ukraine’s joining NATO there will be no new risks for the countries, with which we have relations, as well as for the states-neighbors,” the Head of the State emphasized.

Yushchenko has noted that today we do not consider the question on Ukraine’s joining the North Atlantic Alliance, we consider the Ukraine’s joining the NATO Membership Action Plan. “The choice will be in a year,” the President said.

According to the President, the aim of the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine is not a formation of the policy against someone, but the determination of interests of the country and its identification.
