Belarus welcomes Ukraine’s joining the WTO and has noted significant work done by Ukraine in scope of complicated negotiations with members of trade organization.
According to the opinion of Belarus side, by reception of Ukraine, the WTO made one more step to become really universal world organization.
“We are convinced this accession to the WTO of the most important trade partner of Belarus will create conditions for more dynamic development of mutually beneficial trade-economic cooperation between our states,” press secretary of Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrey Popov said.
As a reminder, yesterday President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko and Director General of the WTO Pascal Lame have signed Protocol on Ukraine’s accession to the WTO.
