On January 20, within the framework of events connected with inauguration of President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, Vice Prime Minister for European and International Integration of Ukraine Hryhoriy Nemyrya met with Prime Minister of Georgia Lado Gurgenidze. Government’s press-service reports.

During the meeting the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in political and trade-economic spheres. Further clear prospects for intensification of relations of Ukraine and Georgia at all levels have been outlined.

Hryhoriy Nemyrya and Lado Gurgenidze discussed bilateral regional cooperation, including the prospects of further development of GUAM and BSECO.

Hryhoriy Nemyrya also met with State Minister of Georgia for European and EuroAtlantic Integration Georgiy Baramidze.

Special attention was focused on coordination of two states in the spheres of European and EuroAtlantic integration.

The Vice Prime Minister stressed that “Eurointegration for Ukraine is not only priority of foreign but of domestic policy as well”.

In his turn, Georgiy Baramidze told his interlocutor about positive results of holding, simultaneously with presidential election, a referendum on Georgia’s accedence to NATO.

The sides discussed an issue on holding Energy Summit on 22-23 May this year in Kyiv and GUAM Summit in June this year.

In February this year Georgiy Baramidze scheduled to visit Ukraine for participation in the “Ukraine-Europe” Conference.
