President Vitor Yushchenko held a weekly meeting today with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk, according to president's press office.

Opening the meeting President urged authorities to consolidate actions and avoid unnecessary competition and functions overlapping. Regarding that V. Yushchenko put a task before Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet of Ministers to work out common agenda for the Government, Secretariat and Verkhovna Rada which would bring their cooperation coordination to the maximum.

Speaking about legislative work priorities President warned that draft law “On Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine” should not be modified in any way as it had been already approved by both coalition member blocks. He also reminded of its adoption urgency.

Reminding that he established National Constitutional Council Yushchenko pointed to pressing need of beginning its work.

A question of revising draft Cabinet of Ministers Action Program was also raised during the meeting. President demanded that during this document preparation main points of President’s annual Address to the Verkhovna Rada were considered.Additionally issues of nuclear safety and nuclear plants management, repayment to citizens their savings in USSR National Bank and adopting urgent legislative acts which President had sent to the Verkhovna Rada were discussed during the meeting.
