On December 24 an extra sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was held concerning approval of several tens of urgent personnel appointments. In particular, Serhiy Buryak was appointed to the post of a Head of the State Tax Administration, Valeriy Khoroshkovsky – Head of the State Customs Service, Oleh Dubyna - Board of Directors Head of the National joint stock company “Naftogaz Ukrainy”, Cabinet press service reported.
The Cabinet of Ministers also suspended decision on realization of alienable state property and a number of tenders.
As Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko underscored: “This Government sitting has put an end to confrontation between the Government and President of Ukraine, withdrawn legal claims of the Government and Secretariat of the President.”
The Government canceled 34 documents of the Cabinet of Ministers effect of which had been suspended by Decrees of the President of Ukraine and as such which contradict Constitution and laws of Ukraine.
The Cabinet of Ministers took a decision to withdraw all statements of claim and abandon appeals of the suits brought by the previous Cabinet against the President of Ukraine.
