First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrei Denisov said he was confident the Russian-Ukrainian relations will be fruitful. Government’s press service reports.
“We can only congratulate the newly elected PM Yulia Tymoshenko and Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko,” he said.
“It's hard to predict the way the Ukrainian-Russian relations will develop, yet, Yulia Tymoshenko is experienced in negotiating with Russian officials,” he said and added that the first foreign diplomat, Yulia Tymoshenko met with was Russian Foreign Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin. Speaking about cooperation within the CIS, the diplomat noted that Ukraine is committed to fulfill its duties and will focus on economic development.
