On December 3 President Viktor Yushchenko attended all-Ukrainian exhibition of nationally produced goods for disabled persons’ rehabilitation and artistic works made by people with disabilities, President's press office reports.
During the opening President said that both Ukrainian society and State must to make lots of efforts to ensure life without boundaries to disabled persons in our country.
Viktor Yushchenko gave negative evaluation to efforts of both local and state authorities on the matter. Regarding the government to his mind not only Ministry of Labor and Social Policy but other bodies as well should be evolved to care for disabled. “Unfortunately most of the work is still in front of us,” President said.
President also emphasized that society should realize its responsibility before disabled persons. “Issue of creating space without boundaries for the disabled in Ukraine is one of the top standing in my action plan,” he added.Then Viktor Yushchenko saw the display of all-Ukrainian exhibition of nationally produced goods for disabled persons’ rehabilitation and artistic works made by people with disabilities.
