Defense Ministries of Georgia and Ukraine signed a plan on military cooperation for 2008.
The document was signed by deputy head of the department of international relations and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Defense Ministry of Georgia, Kartlos Koranashvili, and deputy director of the department of international cooperation of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, Colonel Petro Mekhed.
The document signing took place in Tbilisi in the framework of the official three days visit of the Ukrainian delegation.
During the visit Ukrainian military man met with representatives of the departments of planning and defense policy, strategic planning and military policy. The sides discussed the main directions of the bilateral cooperation and the questions on integration to the Euro-Atlantic structures.
The Ukrainian delegation also met with representatives of the state minister’s office on European and Euro-Atlantic integration and visited office of the NATO Information center.
