Leader of the “Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense” bloc Yuriy Lutsenko proposes to nominate one candidacy from the OU-PSD and the BYuT at the re-election of the Kyiv city chairman. He stated in an interview.
According to Lutsenko, at the previous election 75 % of Kyiv citizens voted for two teams: the “Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense” bloc and the BYuT. “That’s why I propose that one candidate should be at the re-election,” Lutsenko emphasized.
According to him, the head of the Ukrainian capital must be a figure of the national scale, a patriot of the State and the capital.
The OU-PSD leader has noted that present mayor of the capital Leonid Chernovetsky won at the previous election due to big money. “That’s why the re-election must be ideological,” Lutsenko considers.
At the same time, he has noted that it is necessary to approve legislatively the procedure of mayor election in two rounds. He is sure this will help to avoid unexpectedness and financial election pyramids.
According to the bloc’s leader, the election in Kyiv is necessary not only to change the tragicomic face of the city, but to support the public support of the city development Plan.
