Ukrainian Minister for Fuel and Energy Yuriy Boyko and Gazprom CEO Aleksey Miller discussed long-term cooperation in the gas sphere in Moscow, Cabinet's press service reports.
As the Fuel and Energy Ministry's press service reported, the talks dealt with gas pricing principles for next years and gradual transition to market prices and tariffs while gas supply to Ukraine and its transit via Ukraine through 2011.
The parties reached an agreement that the next round of talks will be held in one week and during this period the work will be held at the level of experts.
On November 6 Yuriy Boyko announced that the talks in Moscow would deal with the price corridor within 150-160 USD per 1,000 cubic meters.
Before January 2006 Ukraine imported gas at 50 USD per 1,000 cubic meters and since January 2006 the price was set at 95 USD and since January 2007 at 130 USD.
