Representative of “Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense” bloc Roman Zvarych stated that the VRU of sixth convocation would start its work by November 15. Zvarych commented on refusal of The Supreme administrative court of Ukraine to make official publicizing of elections results.
“Today the Supreme administrative court has lost possibility to return us to constitution course,” he said.
He reminded a norm of Constitution that the first VRU session must start within 30 days after official announcement of elections results. “The matter concerns official announcement and publicizing in newspapers “Uryadovy courier” and “Voice of Ukraine”, he noted.
“It is necessary to say that official announcement has already taken place regardless of official publicizing in official newspapers. That’s why the VRU must start working not later that on October 15,” Zvarych stressed.
According to the Constitution, the CEC has no right to publicize elections results until there are any suits in the Supreme administrative court concerning elections. On October 17 the CPU member Serhy Hmyrya applied to the court concerning admission of CEC action concerning elections results announcement as illegal.
