United States Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor approached international observers from the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America to be tolerant and unbiased when watching the elections on September 30. He urged them to stick to this principle when meeting the Committee mission.
He said he was confident that Ukraine was perceived by the USA as an important country of the region to become a leader in embodiment of democratic principles. That is why, he said, it was important to continue and strengthen democratic traditions of holding fair and transparent election, showed in 2004 and 2006.
Taylor briefed the observers about the situation in Ukraine on the eve of the elections and shortly described key political runner-up forces, Cabinet’s press office reports.
