Interior Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Tsushko supposes that he was poisoned by organizers of seizure of Prosecutor General’s Office on May 27. He said that yesterday in Kyiv at a press conference, the ForUm's correspondnet informs.

According to Tsushko, after events on May 27 when he provided order in building of PGO after its seizure by civil persons and when he stopped by his decree a movement of interior troops who were directing at Kyiv, he suffered from heart attack.

After treatment in Germany, he found out that coronary vessels were in order. Tsushko demonstrated copies of analyses. According to them, teofilin and digoxin were detected in Tsushko blood which contributed to heart attack.

"Who and why did it? I consider it could be provocateurs and customers who arranged PGO seizure, the second reason for this may be my anti corruption actions in Interior Ministry,” Tsushko said.

As a reminder, there was a conflict in PGO in late May after the President had discharged the head of PGO Svyatoslav Piskun and appointed Viktor Shemchuk. Piskun stated that his dismissal was illegal, so he refused to leave his post. Secured by Tsushko, who called President’s decision a coup d'état, as well as by soldiers of riot police, Svyatoslav Piskun turned out Shemchuk from his office and also staff of State Security service that at that time was in PGO building.

Next day PGO instituted proceedings concerning ‘seizure of state institution” and “exceeding of authorities”. Tsushko admitted that his behavior was somehow emotional.

Not long after he was delivered to hospital because of heart attack. There was a version of his poisoning but it was not officially confirmed.
