The Government of Ukraine will support initiative of National union of journalists of Ukraine on moratorium of inspections of mass media during election campaign. Vice PM Dmytro Tabachnyk said that in scope of his working visit to Zhytomyr region.
At that he noted that there is already experience of ban on financial inspections of mass media during elections 2004, 2006.
“I think Cabinet of Ministers will support initiative on ban on financial inspections of mass media,” he said.
As a reminder, President Viktor Yushchenko’s press secretary, said on Friday that President supported demands by the National Union of Journalists to ban all media inspections during Ukraine’s election campaign.
