Kyiv and Rome will exchange monuments. It is planned to place monument of Dante Alighieri in Kyiv, and monument of Taras Shevchenko – in Rome. Deputy Head of Kyiv city state administration Sergiy Rudak stated on Wednesday.
“Questions of this project realization were discussed not once during the bipartite negotiations. It is supported by President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. At the moment the project enters its concluding stage,” Rudyk said.
“The installation of these monuments will strengthen and deepen friendly relations between Ukraine and Italy,” he added.
