“Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense” bloc supports BYuT initiative to hold referendum on changes to the Constitution. Deputy chairman of the bloc Mykola Onyshchuk said that today in an interview while submitting election lists to CEC.
According to him, the people has right to express its will on issues of Ukraine’s development.
Onyshchuk reminded that referendum conduct is stipulated by the legislation that foresees definite procedure. “We appreciate political forces who started process of referendum conduct in accordance with this procedure. Time will show whether it is possible to combine referendum with elections,” he said.
He also noted that idea on referendum deserves support. At that he added that it is unknown still what issues will be submitted to referendum.
