The State will save about UAH 300 millions in budget, if it cuts down benefits for People’s deputies of Ukraine. Head of President’s Secretariat Service on Relations with the Cabinet of Ministers Yan Bernazyuk has stated at briefing on Wednesday, ForUm’s correspondent reports.
“Every year UAH 400 million are spared on benefits and privileges for the People’s deputies, and if such sum is reduced by 80%, about UAH 300 millions will be saved,” he said.
According to Bernazyuk, 219 People’s deputies have received apartments and corresponding compensations. “This is discrimination in comparison with other citizens of Ukraine, who are in need of housing conditions improvement,” he said.
Bernazyuk also considers it socially unfair that the pension of People’s deputies 40 times exceeds the minimal pension.
