Representatives of Environment Ministry of Ukraine discussed with representatives of North-West Atlantic laboratory of the USA and Environment Agency of the USA possibilities of implementations of investment projects in Ukraine, aiming at modernization of gas transport system of Ukraine, using mechanism of Kyoto protocol. The meeting took place in Kyiv, according to the Environmental Ministry press office.
American side proposed project on improvement of gas transport system of Ukraine for the purpose to reduce methane emission. It is foreseen that project will be realized by the USA support.
This meeting proved again common understanding of Kyoto protocol tasks and mechanisms and demonstrated readiness of Ukraine to cooperate in solving problem on climate changes.
