“Ukrzaliznytsya”, the state rail transport administration, has restored the rail tracks on railway segment in Lviv region, where 15 tanks containing yellow phosphorus overturned on July 16. Director General of Ukrzaliznytsya Volodymyr Kozak stated at a briefing on Monday.

According to Kozak, the rail even track was restored on July 22 and the rail odd track was restored on July 23.

Kozak said that trains have started traveling on the restored rail tracks. He added that the work involving restoration of the rail tracks was performed mainly at night, while the work involving repair of the tanks was performed during the day.

According to him, “Ukrzaliznytsya” in full scope provides the transportation of all declared cargoes to Europe and to the neighboring countries. “We have made all in order Ukraine, as a transit State, not to loose its image”, Kozak emphasized.
