Onyshchuk: It is impossible to hold elections and referendum simultaneously

To hold referendum on changes introductions to the Constitution together with early parliamentary elections on September 30 is almost impossible. The People’s deputy of V convocation, deputy head of headquarters of “Our Ukraine”-“People’s Self-Defense” bloc Mykola Onyshchuk told the journalists today.

According to him, during that time left to early parliamentary elections it is difficult to hold relevant referendum.

He explained that referendum on public initiative demands observance of complicated procedure. In particular it requires formation of initiative groups, signatures collection, decision of the CEC and corresponding decree of the President.

“That’s why from our point of view it is impossible to do it for such short period of time,” he said.

At that he added that signatures collection for cancellation of people’s deputy immunity, initiated by “Our Ukraine”-“People’s Self-Defense”, will be enough to formulate session of new elected VR.
