During the first six month of 2007 the Ministry of Justice obtained 405 appeals and one request from the People’s deputies of Ukraine. It is 6% more than during the analogous period of previous year, in particular, from the People’s deputies of the previous VRU convocation. The press service of the Ministry of Justice reported.
According to Minister of Justice Olexander Lavrynovych, the most appeal number was obtained from the Party of Regions – 125 appeals (about 31%). 103 appeals were obtained from the bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (about 25 %). The faction of Socialist’s party of Ukraine has the third position on appeals to the Ministry of Justice for the period of six months of current year; there were 33 appeals (about 18%). From the “Our Ukraine” faction there were 68 appeals (about 17%). 33 appeals were obtained from the Communist party (about 8%).
About half of questions of the People’s deputies (47 %) were concerning the activity of the State executive service of the Ministry of Justice, which deals with the compulsive fulfillment of court decisions.
