The general sum of bribes in 2007 amounted about UAH 8,5 mln. Head of the State Service Department of Ministry of Interior Affairs on struggle against economic crimes Sergiy Chornyh claimed at a press conference on Thursday, the ForUm’s correspondent reports.
“In general, this year twice more crimes were solved, the extorted sums of which were at the rate of big and especially big,” he said.
According to Chornyh, this year as a result of operating system research measures the workers of the State Service Department of Ministry of Interior Affairs on struggle against economic crimes solved more than 10 thousand crimes in the sphere of State activity.
Sergiy Chornyh also said that during this year more than 2 thousand facts of bribery were found and more than 1,3 thousand cases were sent to the court.
