Deputy Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council Ihor Drizhchany emphasized that the question on Ukraine’s joining NATO must be decided at the all-Ukrainian referendum. He said at a press conference on Thursday.
“The question on Ukraine’s joining NATO will be decided only on the basis of people’s will,” Drizhchany said.
At the same time, according to him, it is necessary to meet the demands of the Alliance and do not politicize this process. “It is unnecessary not to politicize this process,” Drizhchany said, and then added that the program implementing on Ukraine’s joining NATO “will lead us nearer to the higher standards of life”.
