In a week the World bank is going to make decision on project “Second loan for policy development” within which the World bank planned in the first half of 2007 to give loan to Ukraine in amount of USD 500 million. According to the Finance Ministry of Ukraine press service, the director of the World bank to Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Paul Birmingham said that yesterday in scope of his meeting with the Finance Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, the ForUm’s correspondent informed.

According to the press service, Paul Birmingham noted that representatives of the World bank understand difficult situation in Ukraine and hope Ukraine will gradually move by reforms way despite definite difficulties.

According to Birmingham, the World bank credits Ukraine at USD 600 to 800 M., presently. Paul Birmingham also noted that Ukraine receives larger credit support than Belarus and Moldova.
