The special Secretary General Representative of the European Council will start his work in Ukraine from August 23. Ukrainian President’s adviser Olexander Chaliy told that after meetings with Governors of the European Council in Strasburg on Tuesday.
“On August 23 Mr. Ocke Peterson, who was earlier the Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine, will start his work,” Chaliy told.
He noted that the Secretary General Representative of the European Council will play an important role in preparation for the early parliamentary elections, as well as in postelections cooperation.
Speaking about the visit to Strasburg, Chaliy noted it was pleasant to him to understand that the Governors of the European Council and Ukraine have mutual responsibility for democracy development in Ukraine, by means of democratic elections holding.
