President Victor Yushchenko on Monday held talks with Moldova’s leader Vladimir Voronin in Istanbul, according to President's press office.

The two leaders agreed to concentrate on border and ethnic minority issues and develop humanitarian and energy cooperation within the next two months.

Yushchenko and Voronin also arranged to hold a session of the Ukraine-Moldova Intergovernmental Commission on July 15, 2007. “We are planning to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission in July and a high level meeting to formalize these issues in the end of August or the beginning of September,” he told reporters after the meeting with Voronin.
