The CEC chairman must not consider whether elections are defeated or not, he must not be guided by political agreement. He should follow only the law. The VRU chairman Olexander Moroz told in an interview with “Inter” channel, commenting statement of the CEC chairman Volodymyr Shapoval. Shapoval declared that non fulfillment of political agreements, reached by the President, PM and VRU speaker, can lead to defeat of election process and elections on September 30 in particular.
Moroz does not understand how the lawyer can say so. “As he should obey the law but not estimate and follow agreements,” Moroz said.
Answering the question what will happen if CEC does not make a decision on replacement of People’s deputies who resigned by those in the election lists, Moroz reminded about Criminal Code and oath.
