European commission refused to give a credit of USD 10,35 milliard to Ukraine to the transport infrastructure development.

During the negotiations that took place on Monday in Brussels, with the participating delegation of Transport and Connection Ministry of Ukraine, the representatives of the European Commission stated that a given question will be discussed only after Ukraine will sign an agreement “On open air”, which can lead to the market positions loses of the Ukrainian air carriers.

By the end of negotiations, Jacques Barro the vice President of the European commission, who is responsible for the transport policy in the EU, told that the question on the credit allocation was solved negatively.

“In full volume the projects will not be financed. Ukraine should determine the priority projects in the sphere of transport and give their economic ground. After that, the European commission will consider the possibility to allocate a credit to those projects, which will correspond to the EU policy in the sphere of transport,” Barro noted.
