President Victor Yushchenko on Wednesday told reporters the biggest priority in Ukraine’s relations with the Russian Federation now was to sign a 2007-2008 bilateral action plan, President's press office informed.

“I am going to discuss our relations with Russia’s president during a summit in St. Petersburg,” he said.

Yushchenko said the plan was aimed at resolving the most pressing problems between Ukraine and Russia. He addedthat energy issues would again be high on this year’s agenda.

The president saidthere had been a few "incidents" between the two states in the past couple of days. “These incidents are very unpleasant but we will have to comment on them,” he said.
