President Victor Yushchenko on Thursday met with Prosecutor General Svyatoslav Piskun.
They spoke about how to hold early parliamentary elections in June, particularly technical preparations for the vote. Yushchenko insisted that the prosecutor general’s officemust be apolitical. Piskun promised it would strictly adhere to the country’s laws to ensure that the snap poll is conducted on time, according to president's press office.
