In 2007 the European Union means to allocate 120 million UAH for realization of its projects in Ukraine, which is 20% more than in 2006. Dirk Schuebel, Acting Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine, announced the news, Cabinet press office reported.

According to him, these will first of all refer to energy, to maintaining the implementation of agreement between Ukraine and the EU on readmission, to reforming the judicial power and Ukrainian legislation with the help of EU experts, who arrived in Ukraine.

As Dirk Schuebel tipped off, in the second half of 2007 the European Union will start realization of coal extraction security project in the Donetsk region. European experts will assist in application of new approaches to labor conditions of miners.

Over 15 years of Ukraine's independence the EU has financed projects in Ukraine to the tune of around 2.5 billion EUR.
