Victor Yushchenko has sent letters to Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko, Security Service Chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko (acting) and Interior Minister Vasyl Tsushko to complain about the growing number of vandal attacks on monuments honoring Ukraine’s heroes and war victims and Jewish graves.
The President is also worried there are more and more extremist groups in Ukraine and that their mainly young members are active like never before. Thus he demands the country’s law enforcement agencies take measures to catch and punish those committing such offences or inciting others to commit them, president's press office reported.
