Opening the Cabinet session, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych shared his impressions of the meeting with the President Yushchenko taken place on April 3. The ForUm’s correspondent informs.

The PM said that the meeting was held in calm atmosphere. “I expressed my point of view…I noted that according to the Constitution, decree on parliament dismissal looks very questionable and practically violates article 90 of the constitution and there are no grounds for parliament dissolution,” he noted.

Yanukovych said that the President is likely mistaken and it is necessary to improve this mistake in time,” Yanukovych added.

He reminded that only Constitutional court of Ukraine can explain regulations of the Constitution.

Addressing his people, Yanukovych declared that it is necessary to wait for Constitutional court verdict. “After the verdict, any actions concerning elections can be held. Only after such decision we will take necessary actions and decisions,” Yanukovych said.

Moreover, he considers that the President will be responsible for destabilization of the situation in Ukraine. He opines that the President should not make such rash decision and to hold “qualitative consultations.”
