In scope of the political consultations, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko gave the leaders of VR factions an hour to discuss situation in Ukraine.
Opening the consultations, Yushchenko repeated his position concerning illegal formation of the coalition in the parliament on the basis of individual membership of the people’s deputies.
“I would like to emphasize that today is the eight month since the first session of the parliament but not the thirtieth day, “the President said, adding that non constitutional formation of the majority makes the parliament work illegitimate.
He also noted that today the attempt of political revision of people’s will is being made.
Yushchenko also criticized many laws adopted by the parliament on regulation of power activity that do not correspond to the Constitution. As example he called the law on the Cabinet,
According to Yushchenko, it causes political misbalance and contributes to power usurpation and undermines democratic ideals.
Yushchenko criticized that many political agreement are not fulfilled and political forces do not keep their word.
Yushchenko repeated seven demands to the coalition (declared on March 31 at the meeting of OU) and called upon discussion.
