Victor Yushchenko is scheduled to visit Moscow at the beginning of April to meet with Vladimir Putin of Russia, his deputy chief of staff Oleksandr Chalyy said at a media briefing on Wednesday, President’s press office informs.

He said the two leaders were expectedto approve a two-year bilateral action plan and discuss its provisions, particularly those helping boosteconomic, border and energy cooperation between Ukraine and Russia.

Chalyy said energy issues would be at the top of Yushchenko’s agenda during his upcoming meetings with the colleagues from Belarus, Poland and Lithuania.

The President is also going to promote Ukraine’s WTO bid in April, Chalyy said. He said Yushchenko had spoken with Kyrgyz leader Kurmanbek Bakiyev in March and their telephone conversation had facilitated the process to sign amarket access agreement.

Chalyy said the President might also attend a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in the British city of Cardiff on April 18 to support the country’sbidto co-host Euro 2012 with Poland.

Victor Yushchenko and his Polish colleague, Lech Kaczynski are also going to attend events to mark the 60th anniversary of Operation Wisła in Poland’s Przemyśl on April 28, he said.
