Party of Regions will nominate candidature of Victor
Yanukovych for the next presidential elections. PR member Borys Kolesnikov told
in the air of 1+1 TV channel.
“If he has such intention to run for presidency, of course the party will nominate him,” Kolesnikov said.
The deputy underlined that Yanukovych shows great progress in his party activity and as Prime Minister, and that is why he has all chances. “I do not praise him, but there is real result,” Kolesnikov noted.
The next presidential elections in Ukraine are to be held in 2009.
