Victor Yushchenko told a press conference in Sumy on Friday the parliamentary majority was enlarging "undemocratically",  president's press office reported.

The President said opposition deputies deserting their political parties to join the ruling coalition “revise the results of the parliamentary election of 2006” and their decision “adds little to the country’s political stability.”

He said these processes, as well as today’s vote to rename the anti-crisis coalition, which is now officially called the Coalition of National Unity, contradicted the principles of democracy.

“So it is difficult to hope that these processes will lead to national unity,” he said.
