The Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych noted the necessity to start sowing campaign and indirectly blamed the President of Ukraine that this question had not been raised yet, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“It’s time for sowing campaign. The spring has come. But Viktor Yushchenko dos not conduct a campaign yet,” Yanukovych said.
He called the Ministers upon to pay special attention to the work of ministerial stuff. Yanukovych considers that the Ukrainian grain-growers should be provided with the budget funds before the sowing campaign. The PM charged the Ministers to control it.
He also informed that program of partial compensation of fertilizer cost from the budget, functioning in 2003-2004, will be renewed in the current year.
Moreover, nowadays reserve of fertilizers, that are necessary for sowing, makes only 40 %. “It is too little. We should solve this question immediately,” the PM said.
The PM considers one of the major problems of sowing is lack of fuel. One should not forget that fuel suppliers can make use of traditional demand growth for fuel in spring.
He noted that for today there are still no effective mechanisms to solve this problem and there’s no positive influence on fuel reserve markets.
